How to Generate a Reddit RSS Feed

Reddit is a goldmine of information, but keeping up with every new post on your favorite subreddits can be overwhelming. Fortunately, Reddit provides built-in support for Reddit RSS feeds.

The Easy Way (Using this Tool)

Simply paste the subreddit name (e.g., r/technology) or user profile link above, and we'll auto-generate the correct feed URL for you. We support both subreddits and specific user profiles.

The Manual Way

If you prefer to find the link yourself, you can often guess it by simply appending .rss to the end of the URL.
reddit.com/r/productivity reddit.com/r/productivity/.rss

Alternatively, you can go to any Reddit page, view the page source code (Right Click > View Page Source), and search for rss to find the hidden feed link embedded in the HTML header.

Why Monitor Reddit via RSS?

  • No Algorithm: See every post in chronological order, without Reddit's algorithm hiding content.
  • Productivity: detailed discussions often happen on Reddit. Track specific communities without getting distracted by the endless scroll.
  • Archiving: Save important threads to your own knowledge base using RSS-to-database tools (like vimrss).

Advanced Reddit RSS Tips

Did you know you can combine subreddits? If you want to create a mixed feed, you can concatenate them with a plus sign.

You can also sort feeds by adding parameters like ?sort=top or ?t=week to your generated RSS link to only see the best content.
